Abstract

The metastasis of laryngeal carcinoma to skin is very rare. The distant metastasis of head and neck squamous carcinomas involve lungs, liver and bone. We present a 61 year old male patient treated with total laryngectomy and bilateral type 3 modified radical neck dissection due to transglottic laryngeal carcinoma. The patient developed metastatic subcutaneous nodules in the skin of the scalp after eight month of postoperative radiotherapy.

Özet

Larenks kanserleri cilde çok nadir metastaz yapmaktadırlar. Baş-boyun yassı hücreli karsinomlarının uzak metastazları sıklıkla akciğer, karaciğer ve kemiğe olur. Bu yazımızda transglottik larenks karsinomu nedeniyle total larenjektomi ve bilateral tip 3 modifiye radikal boyun diseksiyonu yapılan 61 yaşındaki erkek hasta sunulmuştur. Hastada postoperatif radyoterapiden 8 ay sonra yapılan skalp derisinde metastatik subkutan nodüller saptandı. Yapılan incelemede metastaz olduğu saptanmıştır.
