Abstract

Yeast (Candida spp.) colonization in patients and control group was found as follows: Oropharyngeai colonization 41 (54 %) and 4 (7.7 %), rectal colonization 23 (30 %) and 1 (2 %), and vaginal colonization 12 (20 %) and 1 (2.3 %), respectively. The mucosal yeast colonization in diabetic patients was found to have increased in a statistically significant degree.

Özet

Diabetes mellitus'lu 76 hasta ve 52 sağlıklı kişi mantar kolonizasyonu yönünden incelenmiştir. Diyabetli hasta ve kontrol gruplarında sırasıyla orofaringiyal maya (Candida türleri) kolonizasyonu 41 (% 54) ve 4 (% 7.7), rektum kolonizasyonu 23 (% 30) ve 1 (% 2) ve kadınlarda vagina kolonizasyonu 12 (% 20) ve 1 (% 2.3) olguda saptanmıştır. Hasta grubunda tüm mukozalardaki kolonizasyonun istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı düzeyde arttığı görülmüştür.
