Abstract

Open fractures are one of the most important cases that need emergency approach in orthopeadic surgery. In our study ,we did the sytatistical appraisal of 116 patients who applied to our emergency outpatient clinic within a year and examined our treatment approach to 0-16 years old group. Children were %60 of all the patients. They applied most frequently with typel open fractures and isolated injuries. Open cruris fractures were most often seen type among all the regions. %73 of our risk children were treated in an outpatient basis and the morbidity of this group isO%. As a result ,we are able to say that type 1 and some type 2 open fractures of the children could be treated without admission to the hospital
