Abstract

Headache and facial pain resulting from paranasal sinus infections is one of general symptoms that patients mostly complain in acute and chronic sinusitis. In the population, there is an opinion that every headache and facial pain is related to sinus infection. In this study, 65 patients with headache and/or facial pain who were given at least two-week treatment for sinus infection are asked about pain character and localization. After physical examination, real rhinosinusitis diagnosis is investigated with paranasal sinus BT and physical examination and BT findings are discussed with literature findings.
