Abstract

Objective: The role of high sensitivity C reactive protein (Hs CRP) in acute coronary syndrome which is the most leading complication of atherosclerosis was studied. Methods: Twenty three patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) (8 female, 15 male), 6 patients with unstable angina pectoris (UAP) (3 female, 3 male), 10 healthy people ( 4 female, 6 male) were male were included in the study. Their mean of ages were 56,74 ± 10,8; 56,83 ± 9,43; 53,4 ± 6,41, respectively. The patient groups were generated from the patients consulted in Emergency Room (ER). Their serum levels of hs CRP, CK-MB, AST, LDH, cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, fibrinogen, D-dimer and leukocytes were measured within 2 hours of their arrivals to ER. The blood from Patients with AMI was collected for CRP, CK-MB, AST levels at 0 hr, 12th, 24thand 48th hours, respectively. Results: The cardiac damage was measured by CK-MB, AST, LDH and hs CRP levels. In this study, in patients with AMI had significantly higher levels of cardiac markers of CK-MB, AST and LDH than in healthy control group (p

Özet

Amaç: Aterosklerozun en önde gelen komplikasyonu olan akut koroner sendromda, akut inşamasyonu gösteren yüksek sensitiviteli C reaktif proteinin (Hs CRP) rolünü irdelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmamız; AMI’lı 15’i erkek, 8’i kadın toplam 23 hasta (yaş ortalaması: 56,74 ± 10,8), anstabil anjina pektorisli (USAP) 3’ü kadın 3’ü erkek 6 hasta (yaş ortalaması: 56,83 ± 9,43) ve kontrol grubu olarakta 4’ü kadın, 6’sı erkek toplam 10 sağlıklı bireyden (yaş ortalaması: 53,4 ± 6,41) oluşturulmuştur.
