Abstract
The aim of the study is to examine the drawing features of 4 to 6 year-old children attending preschool from sub, medium and high socio-economic levels in terms of age, sex and socio-economic levels. The sample consists of 600 free drawings of 66 children who drew freely for 15 weeks from 4-6 age groups in Aydın. The results of the study showed that smoothing, completing, height hierarchy, transparency, realism, repetition and symmetry, proportion, humour and proper drawing features were examined in terms of their sex, it was seen that there was no statistically significant difference. In addition there was no statistically significant difference in smoothing, completing, height hierarchy, transparency, proportion and humour features in terms of the children’s age. However, there was statistically significant difference in realism, proper drawing, repetition and symmetry features. Çalışmanın amacı, alt, orta ve üst sosyoekonomik düzeyde bulunan okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarına devam eden 4-6 yaş arasındaki çocukların serbest resim çalışmalarındaki resim özelliklerinin yaş, cinsiyet ve sosyoekonomik düzey değişkenleri açısından incelenmesidir. Çalışmanın örneklemini, Aydın ilinde alt, orta ve üst sosyoekonomik düzeylerdeki okullara devam eden 4-6 yaş grubundaki 66 çocuğun on beş hafta boyunca çizdikleri toplam 600 serbest resim çalışması oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonucunda, çocukların serbest resim çalışmalarındaki özellikler ile cinsiyetleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı görülmüştür. Düzleme, tamamlama, boy hiyerarşisi, saydamlık, orantı ve espri özellikleri açısından çocukların yaşlarına göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık görülmezken; realizm, kurallara uygun resim çizme, tekrar ve simetri özelliklerinde anlamlı bir farklılık görülmüştür. Yine resim özelliklerinden düzleme, tamamlama, saydamlık ve espri özellikleri açısından çocukların sosyoekonomik düzeylerine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık görülmezken; boy hiyerarşisi, realizm, tekrar ve simetri, orantı ve kurallara uygun resim çizme özelliklerinde ise anlamlı bir farklılık görülmüştür
