Abstract

Although squamous cell carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor of the oral cavity, carcinoma of the buccal mucosa is not common. Tumor stage, localization and histopat-hologic factors have important prognostic va-lue. This case had been evaluated according to clinical appearance and prognosis of the late stage squamous cell carcinoma on the buccal mucosa.

Özet

Skuamöz hücreli kanser, ağız kavitesinin en sık görülen kötü huylu tümörü olmasına rağmen, yanak mukozasında görülmesi oldukça nadirdir. Tümörün safhası, lokalizasyonu ve histo-patolojik faktörler hastalığın seyrini belirleyen önemli kriterlerdir. Bu vaka, yanak mukozasında ileri dönemdeki skuamöz hücreli kanserin, klinik görünümü ve prognozu nedeniyle takip edilmiştir.
