Abstract

Purpose: In this study, the effects of local anesthesia containing epinephrine usage in hypertansive patients under control with antihypertensive medication are aimed to determine. Material and methods: 80 hypertensive patients, under control with antihypertensive medication going minor surgical procedure with local anestesia 2cc articain+ 1/200.000 epinephrine (ultracain), included in study. The values of heart rate, breath rate, oxygen saturation, sistolic and diastolic blood pressure measured before the anestesia, after the 1., 3., 5. and 10. minute and statistical analyses done with repeated majors analyses of variance. Results: Differences are significant for heart rate at 1., 3. and 5. minute, for sistolic/diastolic blood pressure at 1. and 3. minute and not significant for breath rate and oxygen saturation at all time intervals. Conclusion: No risky haemodynamic changes of local anestesia containing epinephrine
