Abstract

Herpes zoster occurs after initial infection of varicella zoster virus (HZV) that remains dormant in dorsal root and cranial nerve ganglia in latency period and reactivated as a consequence of declining immunity. Virus can only be transmitted by humans. Can be infected by inhalation or contact to active lesion. After initial infection by VZV, different latency and reactivation periods can be seen. In this case report, herpes zoster infection which is seen rarely in oral cavity is reported with its threapy.
