Abstract
Malakoplakia is a chronic granulomatous inflammatory reaction. It occurs most frequently in immune compromised patients. It is believed that this entity represents an unusual response to bacterial infection in which macrophages fail to phagocytose them properly. It involves mostly the urinary and gastrointestinal tracts. This disease has not any specific clinic symptom. The diagnosis is based on histopathological examination.
