Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the perceptions of primary school teachers regarding the organizational culture of their school. The study group for this research was 388 primary school teachers working in Yozgat city center. During this research a "School Culture Scale" developed by Terzi (2005) was used. In addition, ANOVA tests, t- tests and frequency tests were performed where appropriate to the aim of this research. According to the results obtained, it can be seen that the dimension of "support culture" in the existing cultural school in the primary school has become of more primary importance. There were not any extensive differences between the primary school teachers' points of view in relation to their sex, branch, seniority or educational status with regard to the cultural structure. As a result of the correlation analyses that have been done it can be seen that there is a positive relationship between support and success, support and task completion, success and task completion, bureaucratic culture and task culture and between the bureaucratic culture and success culture.
