Abstract

In this study, we aimed to investigate serum lipid levels of the remission period in the frequently relapsing and non-frequently relapsing nephrotic syndrome cases. This study has been performed on 24 nephrotic syndrome cases diagnosed between 1998-2000 years in Pediatrics Clinic of Haydarpaşa Numune State Hospital including 10 of them frequently relapsing and the rest 14 unfrequently relapsing. Four of these 10 were female, the rest were male. Eight of 14 were female, the rest were male. The control group consisted of 8 male, 12 female healthy patients. Plasma levels of total cholesterol, trigliserit, HDL, LDL, VLDL cholesterol were examined after 12 hours of starvation period. Plasma total cholesterol, trigliserid, VDL, LDL, HDL cholesterol levels of frequently relapsing group were significantly higher than the unfrequently relapsing one. We concluded that the serious persistance of hyperlipidemia in the remission period of steroid dependent nephrotic syndromes, may be the sign of frequent relapsing.

Özet

Bu çalışmada steroide yanıtlı sık relaps yapan ve yapmayan nefrotik sendromlu hastalarda remisyon dönemlerinde serum lipid profilinin incelenmesi amaçlandı. Haydarpaşa Numune Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Çocuk polikliniğince 1998-2000 yılları arasında izlenen sık relaps yapan grupta 4'ü kız, 6'sı erkek 10 hasta, sık relaps yapmayan grupta ise 8'i kız, 6'sı erkek 14 hasta çalışmaya alındı. Kontrol grubunu ise polikliniğimize değişik sebeplerle başvurmuş 8'i erkek, 12'si kız toplam 20 sağlıklı çocuk oluşturdu. Hastalardan ve kontrol grubundan 12 saatlik açlığı takiben alınan serum total kolesterol, trigliserit, HDL, LDL, VLDL kolesterol düzeyleri saptandı. Sık relaps yapan grupta yapmayan gruba göre total kolesterol, LDL, VLDL kolesterol, trigliserit düzeyleri anlamlı yüksek bulundu. Sterolde yanıtlı sık relaps yapan ve sterolde bağımlı nefrotik sendromlu hastaların remisyon dönemindeki hiperlipidemi mevcudiyetinin takipte sık relaps işareti olabileceği sonucuna varıldı.
