Abstract
A 72 years old woman who had swelling at neck, dysphagia and pain for two months was referred to our clinic. She was operated because of the diagnosis of carotid artery aneurysm. The aneurysmal sac was resected and the internal carotid artery continuity was achieved with saphenous vein. There was no other neurologic deficit except dysphagia which spontaneously recovered at 2 weeks postoperatively. The carotid Doppler Ultrasonography carried out at 2 months postoperatively revealed that the saphenous vein graft was patent.

Son iki ayda gelişen boyunda şişlik, yutma güçlüğü ve ağrı şikayetleri ile kliniğimize refere edildilen 72 yaşında kadın hasta karotid arter anevrizması nedeniyle ameliyat edildi. Anevrizma kesesi rezeke edilerek internal karotid arter devamlılığı safen ven ile sağlandı. İkinci haftada kendiliğinden düzelen yutma güçlüğü dışında nörolojik hadiseye rastlanmadı. Postoperatif 2. ayda yapılan kontrol karotid doppler ultrasonografisinde safen greftinin açık olduğu görüldü.
