Abstract

A paraneoplastic syndrome should be considered in advanced-stage cancer patients with superficial thrombophlebitis of unknown origin presenting with deep venous thrombosis (DVT). This syndrome is known as Trousseau syndrome which is characterized by hypercoagulability and DVT accompanied by a malignancy. Herein, we present an-82-year-old male case of Trousseau syndrome presenting with an advanced-stage metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma.

Özet

Nedeni bilinmeyen yüzeyel tromboflebit ve eşlik eden derin ven trombozunun (DVT) görüldüğü ileri dönem kanser hastalarında, paraneoplastik bir sendrom düşünülmelidir. Malignite eşliğinde gelişen hiperkoagülopati ve DVT ile karakterize bu sendrom, Trousseau sendromu olarak bilinmektedir. Bu yazıda, ileri evre metastatik gastrik adenokarsinomun eşlik ettiği Trousseau sendromlu 82 yaşında erkek bir olgu sunuldu.
