Abstract

Objectives: It was aimed to determine thedistally migrated teeth from patients livingSoutheast Anatolian Region and discuss theirtreatment choices Materials and Methods: The present study wasperformed by retrospectively investigatingpanoramic radiographies of the 10234 patientsreferred to Gaziantep University, Department ofOral And Maxillofacial Radiology between 2008and 2010 years. Radiographically impacted teethand distally migrated teeth from the original sidewere recorded. The wisdom teeth were not includedin this study. Results: The frequency of the distally migratedteeth was found as 0.019 percent. Two cases wererecorded as distally migration, one of them was leftmandibular canine and the other was rightmandibular first premolar tooth. Conclusions: Distal migration events are rarelyseen dental anomalies than mesial migrations andtransmigrations.
