Abstract

Desquamative interstitial pneumonia (DIP) is an interstitialpneumonia whichis characterised by diffuse intra alveolaraccumulation of macrophages. Restrictive type of respiratoryfailure occurs in this entity. Although DIP is an idiopathic disorder, smoking is a major risk factor in etiology. In addition, occupationalexposure can cause this pathology. The cornerstone of treatmentof DIP is removing the state of exposure such as smoking oroccupational exposure. Herein, we presented a case of coexistenceof occupational asthma and DIP.
