Acute generalized neuromuscular dysfunction occurred in two dogs approximately 12-24 hours after feeding with spoiled meal and in another dog 12-24 hours after eating sheep carcass. When they were admitted to the clinics the dogs were profoundly weak, had loss of muscle tone, diminished pain reflex and absent spinal reflexes. Mydriasis and loss of palpebral reflex were found. The dogs treated symptomatically for seven days. One of the three dogs died in the 5th day of the treatment. The other two dogs were discharged in good condition after a month.

Bozuk gıda yiyen iki köpekte beslenmeden 12-24 saat sonra ve koyun karkası yiyen bir köpekte yemekten 12-24 saat sonra akut generalize nöromusküler fonksiyon bozukluğu meydana gelmiştir. Köpekler kliniğe getirildiklerinde güçsüzdüler, kas tonusu yoktu, ağrı refleksi azalmıştı ve spinal refleksler kaybolmuştu. Köpeklerde midriyazis ve palpebral refleks kaybı belirlendi. Köpeklere 7 gün süreyle semptomatik sağaltım uygulandı. Tedavinin 5'inci gününde üç köpekten biri öldü. Diğer ikisi bir ay sonra sağlıklı bir şekilde taburcu edildiler.
