Abstract

In this study, totally 48 raw milk samples collected from 12 different regions came two dairy plants for processing were analysed for AFMı using immunoaffmity column and HPLC with fluorescence detector. As a result, 70,83 % of samples contained $AFM_1$ and 33,3 % of samples were found to be higher than limit values (0,05 ppb); there was clear difference at $AFM_1$ levels between the regions. The highest (0,817 ppb) $AFM_1$ levels were detected in the samples of Ankara region. Burdur and its region was found to be the highest risky area . However, there was no risk in the Eskişehir region. Except Eskişehir and Lüleburgaz regions, animal breeders in Burdur, Nevşehir, Bursa, Ankara and Antalya regions must be knowledged for the aflatoxin contamina-tion to provide more hygienic conditions in their areas.
