Dipyron; non-steroidal antienflamatuar ajanlar içerisinde pironolon grubunda yer alır.Güçlü analjezik, antipetik ve spazmolitik etkiye sahiptir.Spinal kord travmalarındaki kliniğin oluşmasında,travmanın şiddetinin artmasından sorumlu olan vasküler spazmın rolü oldukça büyüktür.Tavşanlarda yapılan bu deneysel araştırmada, değişik dozlardaki dipyron'un spinal kord travmalarının tedavisindeki etkinliği araştırıldı.
