Any problems with this joint can effect those functions directly or indirectly. The number of patients suffering from unreductable anterior disc dislocations is significantly high. In order to fully treat patient complaints, a combination of surgical and medical procedures is required. This paper presents and discusses the combination therapy used to treat twelve joints in eight patients suffering from anterior dislocation.

Temporomandibular eklem fonksiyonları; çiğnemenin dışında, konuşma, nefes alma, içme, emme, gülme, ıslık çalma ve yüz mimiklerini de içerir. Dolayısıyla bu eklemin herhangi bir problemi bu fonksiyonları doğrudan ya da dolaylı olarak etkileyebilir. Redüksiyonsuz anterior disk dislokasyonlu hastaların sayısı oldukça fazladır. Tedavi cerrahi ve medikal önlemleri içeren kombine bir yaklaşımı içermelidir. Aksi halde hastanın şikayetleri tam olarak tedavi edilemeyebilir. Bu makalede toplam sekiz anterior disk dislokasyonlu hastada oniki ekleme yönelik uygulanan kombine tedavi sunulmuştur.
