Abstract

Transmediastinal approach for bilaterally and metastatic lung tumors and for bilateraly apical bullectomy and pleurectomy is a technically possible and a safe method. In our clinic left posterolateral thoracotomy and bilateral bullae exicion was performed for a forty years old male patient who has dispnea for twenty years. Practically this operation can be performed for the patients that a contralaterally bullae was detected before the operation. As a result transmediastinal contralateral approach, prevents second operation, decreases operation time and post operative pain. It is also a more cosmetic approach.
