Abstract
The present study examines the effect of fetal calf serum on the fibroblast viability of fresh antibiotic sterilized aortic heterografts. Aortic valves of forty-two ristar rats are examined in three (control, Hank's and fetal calf solutions) groups. Each group is divided into three groups according to the time scale (48, 96 and 196 hours). Fibroblast viability is measured by flow cytometric assay. Statistical analysis revealed better fibroblast viability especially in 48 and 96 hours. Fetal calf serum has additive effects on the viability of fibroblasts. Bu çalışmada fetal calf serumunun antibiyotik ile sterilize edilmiş taze aortik heterogreftlerdeki fibroblast canlılığına etkisi incelenmiştir. Kırkiki ristar sıçanın aortik kapakları üç grupta (kontrol, Hank ve fetal calf solusyonu) incelenmiştir. Her grup inceleme zamanına göre (48, 96 ve 196 Saatler) kendi içinde üçe ayrılmıştır. Fibroblast canlılığı flow cytometric yöntem ile belirlenmiştir. İstatistiksel analiz fetal calf solusyonu grubunda özellikle 48. ve 96. saatlerde daha iyi fibroblast canlılığı olduğunu göstermiştir. Fetal calf serumu fibroblast canlılığı üzerinde olumlu bir etki yapmıştır. Fetal calf serumu taze antibiyotikli aortik allograft saklanmasında diğer solusyonlara alternatif olabilir.
