Abstract
Background: This study aims to determine the opinion and suggestions of the patients undergoing cardiac surgery on informed consents given preoperatively. Methods: This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted in postoperative Department of Cardiovascular Surgery (CVS) between January 2012 and May 2012. Ninety-two patients who were scheduled for cardiac surgery were included. As data collection tools, Form-1 (including sociodemographic and medical characteristics of the patients) and Form-2 (including the opinions, suggestions and the given information), which were developed by the researcher, were used. Amaç: Bu çalışmada kardiyak cerrahi yapılan hastaların ameliyat öncesi dönemde kendilerine verilen aydınlatılmış onam hakkındaki görüş ve önerileri belirlendi. Çalışma planı: Bu tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel çalışma, Ocak 2012 - Mayıs 2012 tarihleri arasında Kalp Damar Cerrahisi (KDC) Anabilim Dalı ameliyat sonrası bölümünde yürütüldü. Çalışmanın örneklemini planlı kardiyak cerrahi yapılan 92 hasta oluşturdu. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Form-1 (hastaların sosyo- demografik ve tıbbi bilgilerini içeren) ve Form-2 (hastaların aydınlatılmış onam hakkındaki görüş, önerilerini ve verilen bilgilendirmeyi içeren) kullanıldı. Sayımla belirlenen değişkenler için sayı (n) ve yüzde (%), ölçümle belirlenen değişkenler için ise ortalama ortalama ± standart sapma, kategorik değişkenlerin istatistiksel karşılaştırılmasında ki-kare testi kullanıldı.Bulgular: Çalışmanın yapıldığı KDC kliniğinde hastaların çoğunluğuna aydınlatılmış onam kapsamında gerekli bilgilerin verildiği ve olumlu sonuçların benzer çalışma sonuçlarından daha yüksek olduğu görüldü.Sonuç: Bilgilendirme ve aydınlatılmış onam bir hasta hakkı olarak değerlendirildiğinde ve sağlık personelinin sorumluluğunda olduğu düşünüldüğünde, aydınlatılmış onam konusunda yapılan bilgilendirmede profesyonel ve tutarlı iletişimin sağlanması açısından, aydınlatılmış onam konusunda yapılandırılmış bir ekiple bilgilendirmenin yapılmasının hastalar açısından olumlu olacağı kanısındayız.
