Abstract

In this work, partial discharge occurrence in fog-type VHD-35 insulators is analyzed by taking electric field variations into consideration after specifying various discharge examples detected in field. First, the electric field variation is simulated in a nondamaged insulator using a numerical solver, FEMM (Finite Element Method Magnetics). Subsequently, air filled cavities are created inside the insulator in simulations, imitating the unwanted voids that can be formed during fabrication. Cavities with different diameters and locations are placed inside the insulator and electric field variations are simulated. No partial discharge is observed in these simulations. Finally, cracks are formed in the simulated structure to imitate damages in the insulator. The cracks are filled with air, dust, water and mug, separately, and simulations results show that water and mug filled cracks cause a partial discharge in the insulator.

Özet

Bu çalışmada, ülkemizde dağıtım sistemlerinde sıklıkla kullanılan VHD-35 pin tipi izolatörler için sahada kısmi deşarj oluşumları tespit edildikten sonra, sis tipi VHD-35 izolatörün elektrik alan değişimleri dikkate alınarak kısmi deşarj oluşumları analiz edilmiştir. FEMM (Sonlu Elemanlar Yöntemi) programı kullanılarak yapılan incelemelerde, ilk önce hasarsız durumdaki izolatörde elektrik alan değişimi elde edilmiştir. İmalat esnasında izolatör içinde istenmeyen hava boşluklarının mevcut olmasının kısmi deşarja neden olup olmayacağının irdelendiği ikinci kısımda; farklı çaplarda ve farklı konumlarda hava boşluklarının mevcut olması durumunda elektrik alan değişimleri elde edilmiş, izolatör içindeki hava boşluklarının kısmi deşarja neden olacağına dair bir bulguya ulaşılamamıştır. İzolatörde tahribatlar neticesinde oluşacak çatlaklarda toz, su ve çamur kirlerinin yerleşmesi durumunda kısmi deşarj incelemesi yapılan üçüncü kısımda ise çatlak içindeki hava ve tozun kısmi deşarja neden olmamasına rağmen, su ve çamurun kısmi deşarja neden olacağı belirlenmiştir.
