Abstract

Preeclampsia is a pregnancy-specific condition that affects many organs and causes maternal mortality and morbidity. Early diagnosis and effective nursing care are important in the prevention and treatment of preeclampsia. Control of anxiety caused by factors such as increased blood pressure and hospitalization, treatments being applied and anxiety for the baby are part of nursing care. Today, there are studies showing that music used as an effective coping method has an impact on many health problems. In this study, the effect of music, which is used as an independent nursing practice, in preeclamptic pregnancies to regulate blood pressure and to deal with anxiety is evaluated.
