Abstract

In this study, the isolates of Venturia inaequalis (Apple Scab) were collected from the intensive production areas to determine their pathogenicity. According to the results of the pathogenicity studies, the differences among the isolates were found significant statistically considering the location where isolates was collected. Maximum severity of the disease were obtained from the isolate of Eğirdir (20.4%), followed by the isolate of Karaman (18.8%), the isolate of Gelendost (18.6%) and the isolate of Kayseri (17.1%). Of all these isolates were in the same group statistically. The isolate of Denizli had the lowest disease severity with 16.9%. This study is the first research study on the identification of virulence of Venturia inaequalis in apple production areas of Turkey.

Bu çalışma, ülkemizde Venturia inaequalis’in elma üretim alanlarındaki virülensliğinin belirlenmesi konusunda yapılan ilk araştırma çalışmasıdır.
