Abstract

After the Bolshevik Revolution, first time in history, a socialist state has been founded. Starting in early revolution, the state faced with unfriendly behaviours by the capitalist states. In the present study, foreign relations of the Soviet Union (Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic until 30 December 1922) are examined in the period from Bolshevik Revolution to the 14th Party Congress which held in December 1925. The main problematic of the study is that the Soviet leaders based the foreign policy of the state on the aims of protecting the revolution and gaining diplomatic recognition in the international arena because of the failure of world revolution and the economical difficulties of the country. In this context, foreign policy of the state has discussed under these two topics.

Özet

Bolşevik Devrimi’yle tarihte ilk kez sosyalist siyasi ve ekonomik sistemi benimsemiş bir devlet kurulmuştur. Devrimden itibaren de kapitalist devletlerin hasmane davranışlarıyla karşılaşmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Bolşevik Devrimi’nden Aralık 1925’te yapılan 14. Parti Kongresi’ne kadar geçen süre zarfında Sovyetler Birliği'nin (30 Aralık 1922'ye kadar Rusya Sovyet Federe Sosyalist Cumhuriyeti'nin) dış ilişkileri incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın temel sorunsalı, dünya devriminin gerçekleşmemesinden ve ülkenin içinde bulunduğu ekonomik zorluklardan dolayı Sovyet liderlerin devletin dış politikasını, devrimin ayakta kalması ve uluslararası alanda diplomatik tanınmayı elde etme amaçları üzerine oluşturduğudur. Bu çerçevede, devletin dış politikası bu iki başlıkta ele alınmıştır.
