Köy Enstitüleri on üç yıllık kısa bir sürede kendine özgü bir yöntemle köy eğitiminde ve kalkınmasında büyük işler gerçekleştirmiş ve çağdaş uygarlık düzeyine çıkmayı amaçlayan ülkemiz için bir atılım olmuştur. Köy Enstitüleri 1947 yılında gerçek işlevini yitirmiş, 1954 yılında ise kapatılmıştır. Bugünün koşullarında bir köy enstitüsü kurmayı düşünmek köy enstitüsü gerçeği ile çelişmektedir ancak köy enstitüsü felsefesinden yararlanmak eğitimimizin tüm kademeleri için bir gerekliliktir.
