Abstract

Mal de Meleda is a rare autosomal recessive skin disorder characterized by palmoplantar keratoderma with 'glove and sock' distribution, keratotic skin lesions, perioral erythema, brachydactyly and nail abnormalities. The efficacy of the oral retinoids in disorders of keratinization is well established. Herein, we present a 69 years old patient complainig about thickening of the skin of his palms and soles and diagnosed as Mal de Meleda and treated with acitretin.
