Surgery is the basis of treatment for remnant gastric cancer (RGC). The surgery consists of gastrectomywith meticulous lymphadenectomy. The current report is a description of the surgical results of laparoscopic totalgastrectomy and lymphadenectomy performed for a patient with a history of subtotal gastrectomy for gastric ulcer 19 years earlier who had cancer develop in the remnant stomach. The data regarding laparoscopicsurgery for RGC is limited to case series.
