Abstract

Giant cell tumor of bone is rarely seen in the head-neck region, generally involving the temporal, sphenoid and ethmoid bones. Involvement of the maxillary bone is even rarer. This case report presents a seventeen-year old male patient with giant cell tumor of the maxillary bone, with its clinical features, differential diagnosis, and treatment. The lesion was excised by partial maxillectomy. No recurrences were observed during a follow-up period of 20 months.
