Abstract

Two cases with metastatic testis cancer despite normal testicles on physical examination were reviewed. Intratesticular minute lesions and retroperitoneal masses were found by uhrasonography in two patients at the ages of 22 and 35 who presented with abdominal mass and flank pain despite normal testicles on examination. Histopathological examination of the orchiectomy specimens revealed mature teratoma in one case and seminoma in the other. Residual masses after chemotherapy were man-aged with radiotherapy in the seminoma case and with postchemotherapy surgery in the teratoma case. Both patients are cur-rently infollowup with no evidence of disease.

Özet

Testis muayeneleri normal olduğu halde metastatik testis kanseri tanısı konan iki olgu gözden geçirilmiştir. Karında kitle ve yan ağrısı nedeniyle başvuran testis muayeneleri normal iken radyolojik incelemelerinde retroperitoneal kitle saptanan yaşlan 22 ile 35 olan iki hastada- skrotal ultrasonografi ile intratestiküler küçük lezyonlar saptandı. Orşiyektomi spesimenlerinin histopatolojik incelemesinde bir hastada mattır teratom diğerinde seminom tanısı kondu. Kemoterapi sonrası retroperitoneal rezidüel kitlesi kalan seminomlu olguya radyoterapi, matür teratomlu olguya postkemoterapi cerrahi uygulandı. Hastalar halen hastalıksız olarak izlemdedir.
