Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine seroprevalence of Toxoplasmosis in cancer patients in Van region. Serum samples were diluted 1/16 to 1/256 and subjected to antitoxoplasma antibody test by Indirect Hemagglutination Assay (IHA). As a result antitoxoplasma antibody was determined in 41 (74.5%) cancer patients at various dilutions.

Özet

Çalışmada Van yöresinde kanserli hastalarda toksoplasmoz seroprevalansının ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla hastanemize başvuran 55 kanserli hastadan kan alınarak serumların 1/16-1/256 oranlarında dilttsyonları yapılmış ve indirekt hemaglutinasyon (IHA) yöntemi ile anti-toksoplasma antikorları araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada Toxocell IHA kiti (Biokit, sa, Spain) kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda 55 kanserli hastanın 41(%74.5)' inde çeşitli dilüsyonlarda antikor saptanmıştır.
