Abstract

The purpose of the study is to reveal the path will be followed by Turkey tourism industry within the context of novel coronavirus in the first quarter of the 2020. In order to investigate the topic deeply, content analysis conducted as a qualitative research method. Accordingly, the delivered five public informing in the month of April regarding the normalization activities in tourism by Mehmet Nuri ERSOY, Republic of Turkey Minister of Culture and Tourism, is transcribed and turned into the raw-data. The data were subjected to content analysis via MAXQDA Analytics Pro- v.18.2.4. Consequently, it is noted that the main focuses to regenerate tourism activities are observing dramatic drops on the case numbers and bringing the outbreak under control, and within this context it is predicted that from the end of May domestic and with the beginning of the June, from the east/Asia to west/Americas, international tourism will be partially and gradually opened. In addition to make the certification system, which hygiene is in its core, permanent, it is determined that supporting the industry primarily on the financing and employment is prioritized. Additionally, hygiene-based implementations and low-density place designs will be coming into prominence in the post -corona era prediction are highlighted.
