Abstract

This study was conducted to determine bark beetle species in the coniferous forests of Isparta-Aksu province between 2009 and 2011. During three years which studies were conducted, surveying studies were made. For this aim, trees weakened by other insects or drought, cutting remaining and storage woods and also trap trees were checked. As result, a total 14 species from 23 different stands were determined. Among these species, Pityokteines marketae Knizek, Orthotomicus robustus (Knotek), O. tridentatus Eggers, Phloeosinus acatayi Schedl and Cryphalus piceae (Ratzeburg) are new records for Aksu province. Ips sexdentatus (28.2 %), Tomicus minor (20.9 %), Pityogenes bistridentatus (12.5 %), Hylurgus ligniperda (6.5 %) and Ips mannsfeldi (6.4 %) were found as abundant species.
