Abstract

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common problem among male patients with chronic renal failure (CRF). After renal transplantation ED is believed to relieved to an extend at those patients with ED. Even though after transplantation many metabolic parameters in chronic renal failure patients are drawn back to normal range but still face with the ED problem. Many items can be blamed to be causative factor for ED. Among them, drugs used in the management of renal transplanted male patients are one of the important factors of ED. At our research we observed that major immunosupressants do not effect erectile function adversely. ACE inhibitors and All receptor blockers showed neutral effect on erectile function(EF) which are accepted to have positive effect on EF. In our research steroids seems to have positive effect on EF. Furosemide as a loop diuretic had a negative effect onEF.
