Abstract

High myopia is a leading cause of visual loss, especially in younger populations, and a major cause of legal blindness in many developed countries. Choroidal neovascularization (CNV) due to pathologic myopia is a major condition that threatens the vision of people with myopia. This article describes the clinical characteristics and recent treatment strategies of CNV due to pathologic myopia

Özet

Yüksek miyopi özellikle genç populasyonda görme kaybının önde gelen nedenidir. Birçok gelişmiş ülkede yasal körlüğün önemli nedenlerinden biridir. Patolojik miyopiye bağlı koroidal neovaskülarizasyon (KNV), miyop hastalarda görmeyi tehdit eden majör bir tablodur. Bu makalede patolojik miyopiye bağlı KNV'nin klinik özellikleri ve son tedavi stratejileri tanımlanmaktadır
