Abstract

Purpose: Congenital hereditary retinoschisis, or juvenile X linked retinoschisis, is a bilateral vitreoretinal dystrophy that devolops early in life. It is a relatively rare disease. It is seen between the ages of 5-10, predominantly in males. In this report, we examined the clinical features and the characteristical findings in two cases of congenital retinoschisis

Özet

Amaç: Konjenital herediter retinoskizis veya bir başka isimle jüvenil X'e bağlı retinoskizis, hayatın erken döneminde ortaya çıkan, bilateral tutulum gösteren bir vitreoretinal distrofidir. Oldukça nadir görülen bir hastalıktır. Hastalık sıklıkla 5-10 yaş arasında ve erkeklerde gözlenmektedir. Bu çalışmada konjenital retinoskizis tanısı alan iki olgunun klinik bulguları ve karakteristik özellikleri incelendi.
