Abstract

Innovation is a multi-faceted concept that includes products, services, job procedures, activities of distribution and marketing. Innovation practices have an important place in improving the quality of nursing care, reducing care costs, increasing the scientific knowledge in nursing practice and accumulation of scientific information in nursing. There are many innovative practices in the nursing literature. Limited innovation practices in nursing suggest that innovative practices in nursing need to be developed in Turkey. Raising nurses’ awareness about innovation will increase innovative practices. The aim of this study is to give information about innovation and to encourage nurse innovation practices with examples of innovative applications in nursing.

Özet

İnovasyon (yenileşim), ürünleri, hizmetleri, iş yapma şekillerini, dağıtım ve pazarlama faaliyetlerini kapsayan çok yönlü bir kavramdır. İnovatif uygulamalar hemşirelik bakım kalitesinin geliştirilmesi, bakım maliyetlerinin azaltılması, kanıta dayalı hemşirelik uygulamalarının ve hemşirelikte bilimsel bilgi birikiminin arttırılmasında önemli bir yere sahiptir. Hemşirelik literatüründe birçok inovatif uygulamaya rastlanmaktadır. Türkiye’de ise hemşirelik alanında sınırlı inovatif çalışmanın olması, hemşirelikte inovatif uygulamaların gelişmeye gereksinimi olduğunu göstermektedir. Hemşirelerde inovasyon konusunda farkındalık oluşturulması inovatif uygulamaları arttıracaktır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, inovasyon hakkında bilgi vermek ve hemşirelikte inovasyon uygulama örneklerini tanıtarak hemşireleri inovatif uygulamalara yöneltmektir.
