Abstract

The risk of ocular complications is high in patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Ocular complications may be seen in the anterior segment as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, marginal keratitis, corneal ulceration, episcleritis and iridocyclitis and more rarely in the posterior segment as vasculitis, retinal artery and vein occlusion, optic neuritis, neuroretinitis and orbital inflammatory diseases. Although uveitis is the most common of these complications, bilateral hypopyon uveitis is relatively rare. In this article, a case of bilateral hypopyon uveitis in a patient with ulcerative colitis is presented.

Özet

Ülseratif kolit ve Crohn hastalarında yüksek oranda oküler komplikasyonlar görülebilmektedir. Oküler komplikasyonlar blefarit, konjonktivit, marjinal keratit, kornea ülseri, episklerit, iridosiklit şeklinde ön segmentte görülebileceği gibi, daha nadir olarak panüveit, koroid infiltrasyonu, santral seröz koroidopati, retina vasküliti, retina arter ve ven tıkanıklığı, optik nörit, nöroretinit ve orbital enflamatuvar hastalıklargibi arka segmentte de görülebilir. Üveit en sık rastlanan oküler komplikasyon olmakla birlikte bilateral hipopiyonlu üveit oldukça nadirdir. Buyazıda bilateral hipopiyonlu üveit gelişen ülseratif kolitli bir olgu sunuldu.
