Abstract

Myelinated nerve fibere is a fundus anomaly which can be seen in different forms such as peripapillery myelinated fibres which can be confused with papillary stasis or excessive myelinization, starting from optic nerve and lying towards the periphery. Sometimes unilateral extensive peripapillary myelinated nerve fibers can be seen together with anisometropic myopia, strabismus and decreased vision. Also macular lesions may accompany these symptoms. In this article three cases with extensive myelinated nerve fiber, amblyopia, strabismus and/or high myopia are presented.
