Abstract

Aim: Evaluation of the relationship between the Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA) and Pascal Dynamic Countour Tonometer (DCT) mesurements and blood hormone levels in pa- tients with thyroid disease without eye involvement. Material and Method: Corneal hysteresis (CH), corneal resistance factor (CRF), Goldman correlated and corneal compansated intraocular pressure (IOPg and IOPcc, respectively) and ultrasonic central corneal thickness (CCT) measurements with ORA and OPA measurements with DCT were performed in a total of 16 eyes of 8 patients under treatment for hypothyroidy (Group 1) and 16 eyes of 8 patients under treatment for hyperthyroidy (Group 2) in the Endocrinology Department. Results of the two groups were compared and correlation of these measurements with blood free T3, free T4 and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels of were analysed.
