Abstract

Ticlopidine may be used after stenting to reduce of stent thrombosis. Unfortunately it may cause serious gastrointestinal or hematological side effects such as neutropenia, thrompocytopenia, aplastic anemia, which have been fatal in some instances. We report a case (52 year-old, male) of ticlopidine-induced fatal neutropenia early in the course of therapy after stenting following acute myocardial infarction.

Özet

Tiklopidin koroner stent uygulamaları sonrasında stent içi trombozları önlemek için kullanılmaktadır. Tiklopidinin gastrointestinal sistem yan etkileri yanında nötropeni, trombositopeni, aplestik anemi gibi bazen ölümle sonuçlanabilen ciddi hematolojik yan etkileri de mevcuttur. Biz akut miyokard infarktüsü sonrası dönemde stent uygulanan ve tiklopidin başlanan bir hastada erken dönemde gelişen tiklopidine bağlı bir fatal nötropeni vakasını inceledik ve literatürü gözden geçirdik.
