Abstract

Preterm delivery remains the most important complication of multiple pregnancies. In this paper, we present a case of twin pregnancy with 13 days delay of the subsequent child after birth of the first-one at 21 week of gestation. Based on the findings of relevant case series in the available literature, we reviewed the management of early preterm multiple birth deliveries, including tocolysis, antimicrobial therapy and cerclage.

Özet

Erken doğum, çoğul gebeliklerin en önemli komplikasyonu olmaya devam etmektedir. Bu yazıda, birinci fetusun 21. gebelik haftasında doğmasının ardından sonraki fetusun doğumunun 13 gün geciktirildiği bir ikiz gebelik olgusunu sunuyoruz. Literatürde yer alan benzer olgu serilerindeki bulgulara dayanarak çoğul gebeliklerdeki erken doğumunun idaresi için tokoliz, antimikrobial tedavi ve serklajı da içeren prensipleri gözden geçirdik.
