After the surgical removal of impacted third molars, spongostan was used in ten patients, randomly chosen; Surgicel was also use the patients. Another group of ten patients constituted the control group. The statistical tests conducted after the patients postoperatif evaluations. They showed no difference in bleeding, while statistically significant differences on behalf of the control group in swelling and pain.
