Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilkokul birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin ilk okuma ve yazma öğrenimi sürecinde el tercihlerini, oturuş ve defter pozisyonlarını, kalem tutuş biçimlerini belirlemektir. Araştırma tarama modelinde desenlenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu Sakarya İli Hendek İlçesinde ilkokul 1. sınıfta öğrenim gören 99 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama sürecinin ilk aşamasında öğrencilerden dikte edilen bir metni yazmaları istenmiştir. Bu esnada öğrencilerin fotoğrafları çekilmiştir. Araştırmacılar fotoğrafları analiz ederek “Yazma Süreci Değerlendirme Formu”na işlemişlerdir. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilerin analizinde yüzde, frekans kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda öğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğunun sağ elini tercih ettikleri, yarısına yakınının yazarken doğru oturduğu, çok azının doğru kâğıt pozisyonunda yazdığı, yarısından fazlasının kalemi doğru tuttuğu belirlenmiştir.
