Abstract

A 11-year-old female presented ocular fi ndings like pupillary block, secondary angle-closure glaucoma and high myopic refraction due to bilateral microspherophakia and lens dislocation. In her right eye, we performed extraction of the microspheric lens with irri- gation-aspiration (I/A), and implantation of a capsular tension ring and a hydrophobic acrylic foldable intraocular lens after posterior capsulorhexis were performed with pars plana intervention with 25-gauge vitrectomy and anterior vitrectomy. The same surgical proce- dures were performed for the left eye, except that Cionni capsule tension ring was used. Thus, pupillary block and secondary angle-clo- sure glaucoma risk were eliminated and high myopic refractive error due to microspherophakia was corrected.

Özet

Onbir yaşındaki kız hastanın her iki gözünde mikrosferofakik lense bağlı pupiller blok, kronik açı kapanması glokomu ve yüksek mi- yopi saptandı. Hastanın, sağ gözüne kapsül irigasyon aspirasyon (I/A) ile lens ekstraksiyonu ve kapsül germe halkası ve kapsül içine hidrofobik akrilik göz içi lens (GİL) implantasyonu, sonrasında pars plana girişim ile 25-gauge vitrektom ile arka kapsüloreksis ve ön vitrektomi uygulandı . Aynı cerrahi işlemler sol göze de uygulandı, farklı olarak Cionni kapsül germe halkası kullanıldı. Böylece hasta- da pupil bloğu riski ortadan kalktı ve mikrosferik lense bağlı yüksek miyopik refraksiyon kusuru düzeltilip, görme kalitesi arttırıldı.
