Abstract

Artifi cial intelligence is a very important branch of computer science and functions in many fi elds by algorithms with intelligence near human. It becomes a current issue in ophthalmology like many fi elds in medicine in recent years. Its importance increases especially in the diagnosis and follow-up of glaucoma, senile macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and corneal ectasia. Deep learning and machine learning are important of terms of artifi cial intelligence. The purpose of this review is to summarize the use of artifi cial intelligence in ophthalmology, especially in glaucoma and its advantages and limitations.
