Abstract

Anesthesia practice held out of operating room, due to the risks it carries out, requires much more attention for both the anesthesists and patients. This issue is especially important for pediatric patients. Anesthesia administration is, in order to provide immobilization, obligatory for children undergoing tele-radiation therapy. For this reason, following 0.1 mg/kg intranasal midazolam aplication which provides low sedation, 5 mg/kg ketamine was applied intra muscular way. In this case report, we discussed the anesthesia method we had performed on a ten month-old boy who had been treated with 26 sessions of radiotherapy for retinablastoma in the radiation oncology department of Gülhane Military Medical Academy.
