Recently, it was reported that balloon mitral valvuloplasty can be performed safely in the pregnant women with heart failure. Mitral darlığı bulunan kadınlar bazen gebeliği tolere edememekte ve ciddi kalp yetmezliği tablosu sergileyebilmektedirler. Son zamanlarda kalp yetmezliği gelişen gebe kadınlarda balon mitral valvüloplastinin güvenle uygulanabileceği bildirilmiştir. Bu yazıda gebeliğinin 30. haftasında akut sol kalp yetmezliği ile başvuran ve balon mitral valvüloplasti ile başarıyla tedavi edilip miadında sağlıklı bir erkek bebek dünyaya getiren bir mitral darlığı olgusu sunulmaktadır.
